Story
Woven in Portugal by
The Machado Linen Mill
Organic texture. Laid-back vibes. Oh-so-soft. Sweet dreams begin with our linen pillowcases. Garment-dyed and stonewashed to give you a relaxed look, these pillowcases are designed to get better (i.e. softer) with time.
Made using only the finest French flax and woven in the oldest, family-run linen mill in Portugal, each piece is Oeko-Tex®-certified and made sustainably in a fair-trade working environment.
Note: Set includes two pillowcases.
Available in two sizes: standard or king. We recommend styling the standard set on a full- or queen-size bed. The king set works perfectly on a king-size bed.

Care
Our linen is machine washable. Wash on the gentle cycle with like colors and using a mild, liquid laundry detergent. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low heat, and remove promptly. We recommend using Wool Dryer Balls instead of dryer sheets to reduce waste and increase fluffiness.
Linen naturally has a more relaxed look that does not require ironing. However, if you would like more structure - iron with warm heat on the milder “linen” setting.

Great construction and the quality is evident!
We've come to expect great things from the products offered by The Citizenry and these linens uphold the reputation. We have many pieces of linen from various global vendors and these are among the highest quality - matching much more expensive materiel from elsewhere in the EU. We especially like the envelope construction which keeps the pillow (and tags) away from your skin.
linen heaven
Loving this linen-great price point and the quality is wonderful. Very soft right out of the gate. I am a huge fan of the hidden flap closure on the pillow cases, with pillows of different thicknesses this keeps them looking neat instead of bulging out of an envelope closure.
