Plain and simple. This oversized basket is our biggest and most luxe basket yet.
Handwoven from durable palm and banana leaves, finished with thick leather handles, this piece was designed to help you corral the heftiest piles of toys, blankets, or general clutter.
Each basket takes weeks to complete - all handcrafted by a cooperative of 150 women tucked away in the Rwenzori Mountains. Made exclusively in a fair trade environment.

Since each basket is handwoven, please expect some slight variation in size.
Care
Our baskets are sturdy, strong, and flexible, made to withstand constant use. If properly cared for, your basket will live a long life.
Dust your woven basket on a regular basis, wiping with a damp cloth if necessary. No other cleaning should be necessary.
Changes in temperature and humidity may cause your basket to expand and contract, which may make securing the lid difficult at times. Be patient and wait for the weather to change or remove from areas with high humidity (like bathrooms).

Beautiful and well made.
This basket is even more beautiful and sturdy than I expected. I am using it to store text books and other papers, with some pretty blankets on top to hide everything. I would buy more baskets of this style.
